The latest leaked images of the upcoming Google Pixel phone suggested that it will sport a revolutionary design with a fingerprint scanner circle integrated on the back panel. Reports claimed that the images were posted by Venture Beat on their website stating that the company will soon introduce the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL variants.

The Next Web reported that the new Google Pixel phone models have been developed by HTC and are expected to be launched on October 4, 2016, at the company's technical event.

To start with the specs details, reports suggested that the fingerprint sensor on the back will also aid the users with wireless signals along with the added security measures. The rumors hinted that the device might also house a touchpad on the back, which will enhance the device's ability to boot a desktop mode through USB-C and/or Chromecast. Slash Gear reported that the desktop mode will enable the users also run the Android apps as well.

Apart from the fingerprint sensor on the back panel, the Google Pixel phone is expected to sport a 5-inch screen with AMOLED display and 1080 pixels resolution. The Verge hinted that the device will also consist of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset along with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Also, a battery of 2270 mAh capacity is expected to be onboard.

On the other hand, the Google Pixel XL phone variant is expected to sport a 5.5-inch screen with QHD AMOLED display and 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It will consist of same processor specs and a 3450 mAh battery.

Furthermore, both the Pixel smartphone variants will feature a 12-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera. The device is also rumored to sport a USB Type-C port for faster data transfer and charging.

Meanwhile, it is rumored that the Google Pixel phone variants will be listed on Verizon in the U.S. To add on to that, reports hinted that the smaller variant might be priced for $649. However, nothing has been still confirmed by Google even with the assumed release date around the corner.
