The upcoming Apple iPad Pro 2 is rumored to be released in three variants with revolutionary changes onboard like the inclusion of the Apple Pencil, latest A10 chipset, and AMOLED display panel. After a no-show at the recent IFA 2016 event in Germany, rumors suggested that the new tablet might be released in March 2017 instead.

HNGN reported that the probable 2017 release date was also hinted by popular tech analyst Ming Chi-Kuo. The analyst stated that the Cupertino-based technology giant is keen on incorporating radical specs to the second installment of the iPad Pro device.

As rumors have it, the three variants of the iPad Pro 2 will consist of a different screen size of 12.9-inch, 10.5-inch, and the 9.7-inch. It is stated that all the three variants of the Apple device are expected to sport a slimmer, lighter and water resistant chassis. Bloomberg reported that the new iPad Pro 2 will include faster AMOLED display technology.

Should the Apple device be released next year, it is expected to include the Apple Pencil for excellent writing and drawing efficiency. It is stated that the Pencil will also help users to easily navigate through the device with smoother zooming, panning, and scrolling features.

Furthermore, it is rumored that the Apple iPad Pro 2 might also ditch the headphone jack and feature the Bluetooth Apple AirPods similar to the recently launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices.

As far as the performance-related specs are concerned, reports claimed that the 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 variants will sport the latest A10X processor, whereas the 9.7-inch variant will be powered by an A9X chipset. The basic variant of the Apple device is rumored to consist of 32 GB of internal storage option.

However, neither the release date nor the specs have been officially confirmed by the technology giant, so the rumors should still be taken with a grain of salt.
