It's payback time. BioWare has announced another multiplayer challenge weekend for its Mass Effect 3 game. The multiplayer challenge event, dubbed Operation Exorcist, is themed for N7 players seeking revenge on Cerberus Phantoms.
Like other Mass Effect 3 bounty challenges, your crew in multiplayer game mode will earn points and prizes for throwing the enemies out of the galaxy. The mission is to join hands with allied forces in order to bring death upon 1,000,000 Cerberus Phantoms. On successful completion of task, each one in the squad gets victory prizes. Remember that each creature in the game has bounty on its head.
"Moving forward we will be offering our N7 Operations every other weekend," said BioWare's Chris Priestly. "We realize that we have thousands of N7 operators, and this new cadence will allow us to create and execute the best possible Operations for the community."
The squad goal is to survive until extraction on any map, chopping the heads of any enemy that appears in the way. Squad goal award is commendation pack for every squad member. Killing Cerberus Phantoms sounds an easy task, but the real challenge is the game runs in Gold level difficulty and a N7 team has to kill 1 million of them.
For participating in the online feat, gamers will have to set "Upload Gameplay" to ON in options menu in multiplayer-online settings.
Operation Exorcist kicks off at 6 p.m. PST on April 27. Players who have reached level 20 or higher are invited to enter the expedition on Cerberus Phantom's land. The multiplayer weekend event is available for Xbox 360 and PC users. What about PS3? Unfortunately, PS3 is not included in the platform support list of Operation Exorcist. Reportedly, BioWare is yet unable to reach a settlement with Sony for bringing its multiplayer events to Sony's Playstation 3 console.
Operation Exorcist is ending on Monday April 30 at 6 a.m. PST. The new ending of the game - Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is also scheduled to release this summer.
Let us know whether you'll be taking part in Operation Exorcist.
