iPad and iPhone users are not the only people being treated to a huge update with the release of iOS10, as Apple Watch owners can now enjoy the newly launched watchOS 3.

According to Apple Insider, the release of watchOS 3 for the Apple Watch is being pushed as it has reportedly has major changes for the wearable platform completely revamping how the platform operates.

Users will right away notice how different the new update is from its predecessor because it features new watch faces.

Apple Watch and Apple Watch 2 users can smoothly switch among the new watch faces with edge gestures from either side of the its display panel. The new method is reported to make it easier to move between watch faces with complications for home, work or a night out.

Moreover, the default watch faces can be selected and even customized by users as Apple is now encouraging third-party apps to create their own complication for the Apple smartwatch.

Additionally, watchOS 3 offers a new dock and has replaced Glances. Dock serves few purposes such as showing a snapshot of the app in its current state, allowing apps to provide quick-view information without really opening the software.

With the new dock, it helps to quickly load the favorite and recently used apps. Moreover, preferred apps by the users can be pinned to the dock. Recently opened apps automatically populate the remaining unpinned slots.

Aside from the two new features, there are some great deal of changes in the watchOS 3 which includes handwriting recognition for sending text messages. It means users will have to scribble the reply on their wrist to reply to messages. Another feature includes Emergency SOS feature that can dial 911 and notify loved ones and the ability to create watch faces from the Apple Watch app for iPhone.

Users are advised to install the iOS 10 on their paired iPhone device and to have at least 50 percent battery life on the Apple Watch device before downloading and installing the watchOS 3. Apple's software updates is available for all Apple Watch models.
