The original "Dishonored" game was so good that it got a cult-following, more than a dozen of game of the year nominations and high reception. "Dishonored 2" will need to live up with the reputation and it is shaping to be just that and more.
According to Nathan Lawrence (via PC PowerPlay), "Dishonored 2" from Arkane Studios is shaping up to be a better game than the previous title in the series. As expected with modern-day games, graphics and innovation isn't something people get surprised with, but better sequels are most rare.
Aesthetics
Graphics-wise, "Dishonored 2" will be much better looking and it should be. Last generation consoles Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 won't be getting it, but this isn't all that of a bad news.
Good news is developers can give the game all the graphical muscle it can muster without being held back by previous generation console limitations.
Gameplay
The game will also provide players with more choices. Even more than the first game's already abundant choices to make.
On top of Corvo making his return in the second game, players also get introduced with a new protagonist in the character of Emily, which has an entirely different set of skills.
These differences and choices will give the game even more variety and extremely high replayability.
Smarter and More Realistic Enemy Reactions
Some players have noticed on the first game that some enemies aren't exactly as bright and challenging as they are expected to be. "Dishonored 2" will have better enemies, smarter AI and will get more challenging for players.
Some new enemies like witches and additional clockwork soldiers will be added in the mix for more challenging battles that players need to tackle.
These are just some of the new features that makes "Dishonored 2" a rightful successor to the highly-respected game before it.
There will be a playable demo of "Dishonored 2" in the upcoming EGX event this September 22 to 25 as reported by WCCF Tech, and those who would like to see more of the game can stay tuned with the official EGX Twitch Channel .
