If you think that you work hard, then here is an inspirational story of a man who became the first person to accomplish 1 million edits on World's largest online encyclopedia - Wikipedia. Justin Knapp - a former pizza delivery guy spends several hours daily, contributing his editing skills to Wikipedia, for which he has been paid ZERO dollar from Wikipedia.

Wikipedia has around 90,000 contributing editors, who work regularly, for free, in order to keep the Web site running and Justin Knapp (username - koavf) has become sort of a folk hero for them. Since 2005, the 30-year old Wikipedia editor has been working on Wikipedia on regular basis. At an average, Justin Knapp makes 385 edits for Wikipedia per day.

Justin Knapp lives in Indianapolis in United States. He is a graduate from Indiana University with Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy. The majority of his edits are related to politics, religion and philosophy niche. And on Wikipedia, there is never-ending list of such pages. At the moment, real source of his income is from odd jobs like market research, babysitting, pizza delivery, etc.

People like Justin Knapp are the real soul of Wikipedia. And in honor of the service provided by the Wikipedia hero, April 20 has been marked as Justin Knapp Day on Wikipedia.

Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales also awarded the Special Branstar medal and Golden Wiki award to the 30-year old contributing editor. Wales also thanked the hard-working editor on his personal feed and he took the news with humor saying that "being suddenly and involuntarily unemployed will do that to you."

After all the efforts he made, Justin Knapp deserves at least a job at Wikipedia. But he may never get it because Wikipedia is a non-profit organization. But we might see his name being picked up by folks at Guinness World Records.
