The South Korean smartphone giant Samsung unveiled the new 2016 versions of the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 phones this year with upgraded battery and processor. Below we have jotted down the features of the two smartphones in order to help you select the best device.
To start with the Samsung Galaxy J5 is touted to be sleeker and possesses lighter build as compared to the Galaxy J7 smartphone. In terms of display specs, the Galax7 J7 phone sports a 5.5-inch screen whereas the Samsung Galaxy J5 consists of a 5.2-inch screen. Both the devices feature a Super AMOLED display panel with 720 x 1080 pixels resolution.
When it comes to performance-related specs, the Galaxy J7 features a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor as compared to J5's Snapdragon 410 chipset. Both the smartphones consist of 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage capacity expandable up to 128 GB.
Furthermore, both the Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 sport similar camera specs with a 13-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front camera onboard. However, the J7 phone consists of additional features like panorama, and HDR along with Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection functionalities similar to Galaxy J5.

In terms of software, both the Samsung Galaxy devices sport excellent user interface because of the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The phones also have additional TouchWiz UI skin. Last but not the least, the Samsung Galaxy J7 is priced for $355.33 whereas the J5 phone is available for $310.89.
