Bandai Namco's "Monster Hunter" contender "God Eater" has held its own since its PSP days, and now its latest port, "God Eater 2 Rage Burst," has launched on Steam with impressive reviews.

Here are some of the reviews we have gathered for "God Eater 2 Rage Burst."

Attack of the Fanboy - 3.5 out of 5

Players who have played any game in the "God Eater" series will feel right at home with "God Eater 2 Rage Burst." The PC version is very similar to the first game, with a few tweaks like the new ability called Blood Rage, which gives "a nice new twist to the combat."

English voice acting is also said to be surprisingly "solid the second time around," a rarity in most games. The characters in the game are very likeable,w hich is almost always the focal point of "God Eater" rather than its storyline.

"God Eater 2 Rage Burst" offers nothing largely new in the new version, but it is still worth checking out especially for fans of the franchise. Check out Attack of the Fanboy's full review here.

PC Invasion - Technical Review

On a technical standpoint, "God Eater 2 Rage Burst" delivers, according to PC Invasion. The resolution of the game goes all the way up to 3840 x 2160, and allows Texture filtering from Trilinear up to Anisotropic x 16.

The game suffers from "horrendous tearing issues," but this can be fixed by turining V-Sync on without any framerate problems.

Another gripe is the sensitivity, wherein the vertical sensitivity is lower than the horizontal sensitivity, which tends to throw off the reviewer for a bit.

Steam Reviews - Very Positive

Over at Steam, the players themselves have nothing but praise for the game, saying that "God Eater 2 Burst Rage" is the best "Monster Hunter"-esque game on PC.

The game runs smoothly even on minimum requirements, and can be played with a PS4 controller without a need for any external programs.
