George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have always been known for being strong allies of humanitarian initiatives. However, a new report has alleged that they are more concerned of another thing than the refugees of Darfur.
Could there possibly be truth to this?
The 55-year-old A-list Hollywood actor, apart from being supportive of his 38-year-old wife's profession as an international human rights lawyer, has also made headlines for having been an advocate for humanitarian causes.
In fact, the couple has just been spotted at a fundraiser in Italy recently. Celeb Dirty Laundry appeared to have a different take on the matter, though.
The entertainment site alleged that George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin are "image-conscious" people and "are more concerned about the paparazzi getting the right photos at their fundraising party than the actual plight for Darfur."
The report further alleged that while at the gathering, it was "clear" that what they "do is staged for optimum media attention."
In the meantime, Celeb Dirty Laundry noted in a separate report that the reign of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as "Hollywood's golden couple" is finally over as it was reportedly snatched from them by George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin.
Considering this scenario, the entertainment site speculated that it was allegedly the main reason "why Angelina Jolie's supposedly willing to do anything to steal the spotlight from underneath Amal Alamuddin, even if that means planting rumors for the press to feed on."
Accordingly, the "Tomb Raider" actress and her team of handlers spread the rumors claiming that she was going to teach at Georgetown University which was eventually denied by a school rep.
"There are no current plans for Ms. Jolie to teach at Georgetown, but Angelina Jolie and William Hague have an open invitation to share their experiences and perspectives at Georgetown anytime they're able," the source said.
