It has been a very long while since consumers got to see Canon 5D Mark III in action and the experience it offered was extremely satisfying for both mere shutterbugs to professionals. Mark IV is already late, but the wait will all be worth if we get to see the following things in it.
Better and Bigger Resolution
Just because the resolution is big, it doesn't automatically mean that the image quality will be great, and vice versa. With Mark III having an already decent 22.3 megapixel sensor, a much higher resolution might be in order, especially that there had been several DSLRs who offer such sensor sizes already.
Something around 30 megapixel would be a great upgrade as the next best thing to it would already be the 50-megapixel 5DS.
Tilt Screens
Many lower-end DSLRs already have the feature. Even the lower-tiered 600D has it. Adding a tilting screen would allow easier shooting on certain situations and will even be a useful feature for video shooting. Even if Canon has a dedicated camera line for videos, adding a tilting screen on an already awesome 5D Mark IV will potentially make a really big world of difference.
Wi-Fi and GPS
GPS may be overlooked, but this would be a very nice addition to Canon 5D Mark IV. Wi-Fi, on the other hand, will be an extremely useful feature especially for those who like to transfer files over-the-air or simply want to take advantage of a cable-less working environment (or without the need to remove the memory card.)
4K Video
Though it may be unlikely due to the prior statement about the dedicated camera line for video, having a 4K functionality will also go a long way for the Canon 5D Mark IV.
Though it may not sound as easy as integrating it, including the feature will be a huge statement that DSRLs still have the upper hand in terms of still images and videos compared to their mirrorless counterparts that already have 4K and a number of bells and whistles to make them even more enticing.
Hopefully, most, if not all, of these features will be included, and consumers can look forward to nabbing themselves the Canon 5D Mark IV once released.
