The Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor recently teased that he is well-prepared for the upcoming rematch with the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5 event, Nate Diaz. Reports claimed that during the UFC event, McGregor will try to avenge his defeat.

MMA Fighting reported that the 28-year-old has learned his mistakes and is all set to take on Diaz with a boosted confidence level. It is also stated that McGregor walked away from many fights and movie opportunities only to prepare for his rematch with Diaz.

"I feel absolutely amazing. I've prepared phenomenal," said McGregor, during a pre-fight media call. "I did not give enough credit to Nate's durability and his experience. He has more fights in the UFC than I do total fights. Also, his height and his range and his reactions, and I gave no respect to that. For the first two rounds, he was a heavy bag and I was correct in thinking that but his durability held out. I've been preparing for that, and I feel very confident that I can put this man away."

The former UFC champion also said that defeating Diaz means more to him than money. McGregor also stated that in the upcoming match, he will try to knock down his opponent Diaz in the second round and try to settle the unfinished business between them.

On the other hand, there are reports that even Diaz is looking forward to the rematch with Conor McGregor as it will be a big-deal fight for him and the UFC fans. Earlier, Diaz defeated McGregor in the second round of UFC 196 fight and became the Ultimate Fighter 5 champion.

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will meet for a rematch on August 20 for the UFC 202 main event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
