After its release worldwide in April 2016, the Huawei P9 is expected to hit the Indian market next month on August 17, 2016. The latest smartphone from Huawei has turned out to be the company's best mainstream device till date.

The Huawei P9 sports a slimmer build and a similar design like that of its predecessor with a classic glass and metal finish. The most visible change in the phone is the fingerprint sensor mounted on the back panel, which provides the user with added security.

Also, you will notice a few changes at the bottom of the device as the company has added the USB Type-C port and skipped the adjoining speakers. The Huawei P9 now has a single speaker on the right, a small IR blaster on top with a headphone jack on the left.

In terms of display, the smartphone features a 5.2-inch IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, which is similar to the earlier installment. However, the latest Huawei P9 phone consists of an enhanced user interface with Emotion UI 4.1.

Moving on, the Huawei P9 is high on performance with HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor and 3000 mAh battery. The phone also provides you with the Quad-core 2.5 GHz Cortex-A72 chipset for faster operations.

As far as the internal storage and RAM capacity are concerned, the company has launched two variants based on these factors. One variant sports 32 GB storage with 3 GB RAM whereas the other variant consists of 64 GB storage with 4 GB RAM.

The Huawei P9 highlights its two 12-megapixel cameras on its back panel. Gear Burn commended its camera in terms of capturing monochrome images.

The second camera provides you with the RGB filter. The dual-camera setup also provides you with added functionalities like simulated aperture adjustments and refocusing, HDR mode, panoramas, night shots and time-lapses. The camera also includes the company's trademark feature light-painting mode.

The Huawei P9 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Meanwhile, the latest leaks hinted that the phone has received the Android 7.0 Nougat beta upgrade with OTA links. The Huawei P9 is priced at EUR 599 or US $660.

To sum it up, the Huawei P9 smartphone features great specs, and provides you with an impressive set of camera and design.
