2k Games is finally bringing the remastered edition of the Bioshock series on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. This will include the original "Bioshock," "Bioshock 2" and "Bioshock Infinite."

The game is set to be released officially this coming September 13 in the US, September 15 in Australia and September 19 for the rest of the other countries. The remastered games are also brought to us by Blind Squirrel Games in the effort of having the game look better and more fitting for a modern-day release.

"The weapons, plasmids, levels, and character models that shocked you years ago have been reskinned and retextured to look better than ever. On top of that, all single-player DLC created for all three games comes loaded in one package," 2k stated.

Here's a list of the complete features for the "Bioshock The Collection" bundle courtesy of PC Advisor UK;

  • Director Commentaries featuring Ken Levine, creative director and Shawn Robertson, animation lead

  • Museum of Orphaned Concepts: A virtual museum of the behind-the-scenes and materials that were eventually discarded away from the final game.

  • Challenge Rooms for additional levels and achievements

  • Minerva's Den: An additional backstory for "Bioshock 2" showcasing the Rapture's side that wasn't in the original games.

  • Complete DLCs for "Bioshock Infinite"

  • Clash in the Clouds Add-On Pack: Additional 60 waves of challenges spanning in 4 maps. A multiplayer feature

According to 2k's announcement, the PC version of "Bioshock The Collection" won't necessarily need to be remastered.

This is due to the fact that the PC version of all the "Bioshock" games already meet the modern current generation standards, which runs buttery smooth on ultra settings.

It is also reported on Gear Nuke that the PC version of the "Bioshock The Collection" will be free for PC owners who already have the three games. This is very beneficial to those who haven't gotten the DLCs and additional maps yet.
