Fans of wildly popular "Silent Hills" demo "P.T" (Playable Teaser) got their hearts broken when "Allison Road" was cancelled. It was supposedly a full-length P.T-inspired game. Still, with "Visage" around, fans of "P.T's" elements can have their hopes up once more.
For those who haven't heard of what "Visage" is, it is a first-person game with the same roots as "P.T" and "Allison Road." It even came around with a Kickastarter campaign by SadSquare. The only difference it has would be the setting since it is set somewhere around the early '80s.
Just a week ago, the team behind "Visage" made an official statement regarding the implementation of HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in their campaign page. Not a lot details were disclosed, but it was reassuring enough that the team will include the feature and it will "redefine the boundaries of how scary a horror game can be."
The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4, which is the same engine that runs most modern games of today like "Daylight," "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8," "Kingdom Hearts III," and more.
"Visage" is mainly a psychological horror game wherein players will have to explore an empty house. The house is haunted with clinging memories of the families that used to live within and those that died in it.
Players will come by supernatural beings and with no means of combat, will have to avoid enemies any way possible. Exploration of the house's interior is enough to make anybody wet their pants in fear. What with the house's eerie ambient. Finding scarier is an entirely different level.
In the campaign page, a PlayStation 4 port will be made. However, no indications point to its compatibility with the PlayStation VR as of the moment.
"Visage" is expected to be released next year in January, but some speculations showed that the developers may push the release date a bit later with "Resident Evil 7" coming around the same timeframe.
