Amidst reports that the Boston Celtics are eyeing a deal with OKC Thunder's Russell Westbrook, the latest NBA trade rumors hinted that they might opt to trade with the Philadelphia 76ers for their center Jahlil Okafor to teamup with Al Horford.

CSNNE reported that the 20-year-old player is expected to be the perfect trade option for Boston as he will be able to work out the games with Horford, and thus bring laurels to the team. Reports claimed that Okafor will easily blend into the team along with the roster of young players like Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, and Jae Chowder.

The Celtics might choose to bring in Okafor instead of Nerlens Noel, who is supposedly also on the trading block. The main reason behind this is that Jahlil Okafor is a good scorer and that's what the Celtics are eyeing for this season.

Furthermore, Okafor has an average of 17.5 points and 7 rebounds in 30 minutes per game in over 53 contests, reported NESN. It is also reported that he will be able to provide the Boston Celtics with some height with his 6-foot-11-inch persona.

Moreover, The Bit Bag reported that the 76ers are also looking for a perfect deal by trading Okafor before the start of the upcoming NBA season. It is reported that the Philadelphia team is already full of talented frontcourt players like Ben Simmons, Nerlens Noel, and Joel Embiid, along with Jahlil Okafor.

The 76ers are reportedly planning to trade Okafor to the Celtics as they will have the best possible return of players against him with possibilities like Ben Bentil, R.J. Hunter, Demetrius Jackson, Jordan Mickey, Terry Rozier, Guerschon Yabusele, James Young, and Ante Zizic.
