Amidst reports that actors Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will not share a screen space in the "High School Musical 4" movie, Disney has announced their reunion in a bit different and unusual way.

Vanity Fair reported that Disney has officially approved a "High School Musical" parody, which will feature the original cast Zac and Vanessa's characters Troy and Gabriella. Reports claimed that the company has teamed up with a popular YouTube channel Bad Lip Reading for the special episode.

The parody is reported to showcase video clips from the Disney series, which were released around 10 years ago. Hollywood reported that people from Bad Lip Reading channel will alter the scripts and lyrics of the "High School Musical" and also provide a funny angle to the main soundtrack.

The parody hinted that Efron and Hudgens' reunion might be possible in the upcoming "High School Musical 4" flick. However, Daily Mail stated otherwise. The publication reported that Disney is currently casting five new leads for the "High School Musical 4: East Meets West," series and the audition list does not include the 27-year old actress or her ex-boyfriend Zac's name.

HNGN reported that the romantic-comedy series will not feature Efron as he is currently busy with other projects, with rumors on starring in "Fifty Shades Freed" to replace the current lead of the film franchise, Jamie Dornan. However, these are speculated to be just rumors as there is no official update.

The "High School Musical" parody will be aired on July 11 at 11 a.m. on Disney XD channel and will have a show time of only half an hour. On the other hand, there are no updates on the release date of "High School Musical 4" movie.
