The latest NBA trade rumors about Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers are becoming very interesting with each passing day. The Los Angeles Lakers might go ahead in full force to bring in DeMarcus Cousins from the Sacramento Kings in the ongoing free agents trade season.
Sports Illustrated reported that the Lakers were unable to lure in the key player Kevin Durant from Oklahoma City Thunder into their team. As a result, it is being reported that they are trying to pull off a trade with Cousins to make their center position strong.
There are reports that the Los Angeles Lakers might offer D'Angelo Russell and few other players like Lou Williams or Timofey Mozgov to the Sacramento Kings in exchange of Cousins. SLC Dunk reported that the Kings have been targeting Russell for a long time as they desire to make their team stronger with young and talented players. Recently, the Kings made a two-year's deal with Matt Barnes for $12 million.
However, there are also rumors that the Sacramento Kings are not willing to trade DeMarcus Cousins as they have lost some of their major players this season to free agency like Seth Curry and Rajon Rondo.
On the other hand, The Bit Bag reported that the trade rumors concerning Kevin Durant are currently on its highest peak. The latest update has teased the possibility that he might choose the Boston Celtics as his new team in the upcoming season.
The Celtics brought in New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during their meeting with Durant on Saturday in order to lure the player into their team. ESPN reported that Brady did an impressive task of convincing Kevin to join Celtics in the next season, according to Adam Himmelsbach from The Boston Globe.
Further, there are reports that with Al Horford successful deal, the Celtics have a strong position to pitch Durant with the Big Three idea, which would consist of players like Durant, Horford, and Isaiah Thomas.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Kevin Durant would announce his final team within a window of 24-36 hours. The 27-year-old player reportedly had his second meeting with his current team Oklahoma City Thunder with no positive results. This has, in turn, made the speculations that Durant would join Boston Celtics even stronger.
