"Samurai Jack" was first aired on Cartoon Network more than a decade ago, but the childhood memories will surely come back after news confirmed the return of the series in its fifth season.
Before anything else, let us take a look at the brief history of the show. TV Series Finale noted that the animated series was created by Genndy Tartakovsky. It was originally aired between 2001 and 2004.
Those who have no idea about the series must be surprised that it was given four Emmy Awards and six Annie Awards. This must be the reason that Cartoon Network decided to reboot the series after a decade of hiatus.
So far, French website Clone Web revealed new details and images of the upcoming season which were also shown during the French animation festival. The snapshots of the characters were also posted in Imgur and Twitter accounts of reporter Alexander Loos and Midou.
"It's official #SamuraiJack first look, darker, better, more adult but still funny!" Midou captioned. Furthermore, Loos claimed that the reboot will find Samurai Jack 50 years after his last battle with the evil demon Aku.
The making of "Samurai Jack" was told on the website. According to the translated version,Genndy Tartakovsky called Cartoon Network and proposed to complete Samurai Jack. The showrunner had faced some "partial failures" with other films.
The creator has a budget more consistent than previously that can reportedly fulfill 10 episodes to close (or not) the series as it should. The full preparatory drawings are also shown along with the report.
The series will continue on season 5. The first episode will reportedly include Jack riding a motorcycle while fighting the beetle-bots The protagonist has a huge armor, sporting a big beard and long hair. Another scene is his fight with his nemesis, the very funny and talkative Hakku.
