"Game of Thrones" season 6 recently aired the finale episode, and yet, news about season 7 are already online. While viewers are expecting a more exciting plot, here's 6 spoilers and details to expect.

1. There are no midseason breaks for the series; that is why Heavy assumed that season 7 will air in April 2017. Notably, the previous episodes were shown between last week March to last week of April. Here is the pattern:

Season 1 premiered on April 17, 2011. The premieres of the next seasons were on April 1, 2012; March 31, 2013; April 6, 2014; April 12, 2015; and April 24, 2016. Hence, the April release of the next season is plausible.

2. Seasons 7 and 8 might be the finale of the medieval-fantasy series. Executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss told Variety that the show is now "heading into the final lap."

"I think we're down to our final 13 episodes after this season. We're heading into the final lap," said Benioff. "That's the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that's what we're looking at," he added.

3. Provided the exec's statement, season 7 and 8 will likely be the shortest seasons among the previous ones. Season 7 might only have seven episodes while the next one will only have six.

HBO programming president Michael Lombardo reportedly knows that execs' plan to shorten the series. "That's my understanding from them right now, those have been the conversations we've had," he says.

4. Digital Spy noted that Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Lena Headey (Cersei), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Sophie Turner (Sansa), and Maisie Williams (Arya) will most likely reprise their roles. On the other hand, Josephine Gillan might return as Marei.

5. The production team is also looking for a 16-year-old Northern girl and a 10-year-old Northern boy for new roles which will be known in the future.

6. Some of the battles for Season 7 will likely take place in Spain. Watchers on the Wall reported that the team will not go back to Girona because the negotiations did not work out as planned; so they are looking forward to shooting some scenes in castles near Spain.
