Samsung just unveiled the 2016 edition of Galaxy J7, also known as Samsung Galaxy J7 6. The South Korean tech titan once again proved that they can produce high-quality mid-range phones, but does it lived up to expectations?

According to Phone Arena, the highlights of the device are the battery life and the camera interface. The mobile phone can last up to 11 hours when actively used with its 3,300 mAh removable battery.

The camera is also outstanding as the phone can capture crisp images with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a wide, f/1.9 lens; and up front, there's a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The video cannot record a 4K quality, but it still high definition, worth more than its price.

While these two features are commended, other aspects of the phone like the interface, processors, and connectivity is at average. The Samsung Galaxy J7 6 is equipped with the Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7870 chip along with 2GB of RAM, internal storage comes in at 16GB, and an additional 128 GB microSD card.

Browsing Internet would be no sweat because the Galaxy J7 6 supports 4G LTE with bands 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 20 for FDD-LTE, and band 40 for TDD-LTE. It has a category 6 LTE modem with theoretical capacities of up to 300-megabit downloads. Other connectivities also include the Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC support.

Call quality is rather average. They stated that the voice of the callers arrives "thin and quiet," but still understandable. On the other hand, the design and the speaker scored low. They pointed out that the audio and speaker quality lacks depth. The website also wrote that the phone has a generic design.

The newest device addressed the issues of its predecessors, but Samsung should focus more on the design of the upcoming versions. For the complete specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016, visit GSM Arena.
