"Prison Break" is about to invade the small screens once again after its long hiatus, however, there is a scoop that Dominic Purcell may not be able to reprise his role as Lincoln Burrows.
The team has recently started filming Season 5 in Morocco, but Express noted that Purcell got involved in a severe accident. Does that mean he will not be able to join the much-awaited series?
The rumor is not confirmed yet, but according to the website, Purcell is now recovering from his injuries after an iron bar fell into his head. He received medical attention immediately after the hurtful incident and but stitches was required on his head.
"I'm good. #thanksforsupport ... Had a little accident on set. Haha! Back at work asap," as he captioned his latest photo on Instagram. "Pays to have a thick skull when an iron bar falls on your #head!! busting it open severely also broke my nose in two places."
Meanwhile, Melty reported that the show will not be up until Spring of 2017. But fans of the action series are still waiting for the official announcement by FOX, which handles the show.
On the other hand, lead actor Wentworth Miller previously admitted that he thought "Prison Break" would never return, according to Digital Spy. "I feel as though we told the story we intended to tell. That's something that's very rare in television - that you're allowed closure - and we were," Miller said.
Aside from the candid revelation, the website listed down the actors who are about to return to the anticipated TV show. More than Purcell and Miller, Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Theodore Bagwell, Rockmond Dunbar, and Paul Adelstein reportedly confirmed their comeback.
