The technology giant, Apple, is rumored to release the 13-inch Retina MacBook first before the much-anticipated MacBook Pro 2016 series notebook. The reports suggest that the Retina MacBook is expected to be unveiled during the company's WWDC event in June, whereas the release date of the new MacBook Pro is reported to have been delayed until October 2016.
The new Retina MacBook is expected to heat up the sales for Apple as per the KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo said that the company is planning to completely discard the MacBook Air series and divert all its attention towards the MacBook Pro notebook. There are reports that the company will provide major upgrades to the Retina MacBook to set up a base for the upcoming Pro notebook series.
With the stories about the new Retina MacBook, few reports suggest that the MacBook Pro will also be released with many significant upgrades. There are reports that the MacBook will receive such major upgrades after a time span of almost four years. IB Times reported that the much-awaited MacBook Pro 2016 will feature Touch ID and OLED touch bar. The Touch id fingerprint sensor is reported to provide extra security option to the device.
Further, it is also reported that the new advanced notebook line will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Tech Times reported that the new MacBook Pro series will also consist of a USB Type-C port and Thunderbolt 3 features as a part of the additional upgrades for the upcoming device.
There are reports that the new MacBook Pro 2016 will also feature Skylake processors with enhanced memory technology and storage space. Ecumenical News reported that the notebook is expected to be released in two variants i.e. 13-inch and 15-icnh screens with the company's latest operating system upgrade i.e. iOS 10.12. The release date for the new update OS is reported to be set in June i.e. the system would be unveiled at the Apple's WWDC event.
The MacBook Pro is also reported to include Force Touch Trackpad, which will provide the notebook users with a feedback when they press the surface of the pad.
