Apple has gained another crowning achievement. The Cupertino company had just signed an exclusive streaming deal with famous pop singer, Taylor Swift, that will show a concert film from the songstress' world tour.
It was announced by both the tech company and the singer that the subscribers of Apple Music will have an access to the film taped two weeks ago at Swift's show in ANZ Stadium, Sydney. The film, which was directed by Jonas Akerlund, will be made available by Sunday.
The film will also include scenes from backstage as well as scenes of musical guests she has brought throughout her tour. The tour is for her latest 1989 album which had just finished its worldwide run last Saturday, Dec. 12.
The latest deal between the singer and the tech company seems to be cementing the ties between both parties. It could be recalled that earlier in June; Swift has posted a blog where she criticized the Apple for their plan on not paying music royalties while they run the free trials for their then new app, Apple Music.
The blog brought forth an immediate response and remedy within hours of its posting. The tech company reversed their earlier plan regarding the music royalties which made the other party happy enough. Later on, only Apple Music became the only streaming app to offer the album 1989 to their consumers.
Additionally, Apple's Internet radio station called Beats 1 was the only one to broadcast an interview between the famous singer and the influential BBC DJ Zane Lowe who joined the station earlier this year.
The deal between Swift's party and the Cupertino company was not made public, but it could be seen as following on the earlier deals that the tech company has also made with star musicians to promote Apple Music and produce programming for their service.
Earlier artists, rapper, and/or producers Drake and Pharell Williams were also supportive of the said app service since its introduction to the public last June. Also last month, the service had a television commercial with the country singer Kenny Chesney.
