Apple has just released a new update for their Apple Watch. The tech company has just released their watchOS 2.1 update together with the iOS 9.2, OS X 10.11.2 and tvOS 9.1. The Apple Watch update came out of the blue and has surprised some of its consumers. Reports say that the latest update is being tested internally, the reason as to why they did not seed any betas for it.
The watchOS 2.1 software update introduces system support for different languages such as Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, Malay, Czech, Hungarian, Portuguese, and Vietnamese. Plus a support for right to left user interface and the also now sports the ability to switch between Latin and Hindi numerals for Arabic.
The latest update for the Cupertino company's smartwatch also added support for diction in Portuguese (Portugal), Arabic (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia), English (Malaysia), Hungarian, Hebrew, Czech, Vietnamese, and Greek languages. There is also a new complication for the Hebrew and Islamic Calendars.
Meanwhile, support for Siri in Arabic is also made available. There are several bug fixes too, like events now correctly updated in the Calendar complication, the time is also now displayed in the Power Reserve mode and third-party apps can now be properly launched. It can also be noted that the latest version now displays correctly the icons of some third-party apps which has improved the overall stability of the operating system when changing system languages.
Apple's watchOS 2.1 update is available for all supported devices including the 38mm Apple Watch (1, 1) and the 42mm Apple Watch (1, 2) models. Users who would like to update their watch's OS to this one just needs to update their iPhone to the new iOS 9.2.
Once the user has the new iOS 9.2, the user now needs to make sure that their device battery is has more than 50% life or is currently charging as it might take a lot of power and a bit of time. The user then just needs to go to the Apple Watch app on their iPhones then go to the general option, select the software update and wait until they see the watchOS 2.1 update to appear.
The user then needs to apply the watchOS 2.1 software update which is sent to the Apple Watch device from their iPhones. After the software has been installed it would automatically make your Apple Watch restart.
