During the course of the year, it is observed how busy Google has been. Innovations, researches - they seem to have them all. And the latest news this time involves the luxury watch they have just unveiled together with the partnership of Tag Heuer and Intel. The said smartwatch is an attempt by a Swiss watch maker to incorporate their watches with the latest of today's technology in order to keep up with their customers.

According to the CEO of Tag Heuer, Jen-Claude Biver, their company has been making mechanical watches for about 155 years already but knew a bit only on building a device that is connected to the Internet. Being connected to the Internet seems to be one of the trends that is popular among today's generation. To keep up with the demand and be able to produce one, they have decided to partner with Intel and Google in what they have dubbed as the "marriage of watch valley and silicon valley."

Smartwatches have already been introduced in the past and are already becoming trendy and usual. So what makes these smartwatches different? The answer is the looks itself. Most of the smartwatches that have been made also by partnering with Google's Android wear system looks more like mini computers worn on the wrist instead of the usual mechanical watch. But Tag Heuer's Connected does.

The design of Connected is adopted from the company's own Carrera Calibre mechanical design. It uses premium materials, which include titanium lugs and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal screen. Connected buyers can choose the color of their straps from seven color options.

Intel's CEO Brian Krzanich that after they were shown the design elements that Tag Heuer wanted, they worked with Google to be able to make the necessary Android Wear software for it. Google Vice President of engineering David Singleton also added that each team has something uniquely good about it, and by partnering with each other, they have combined these "uniquely good" things to make something that is beyond what each could have done.

This luxurious watch certainly lives up to its title as it comes at a staggering prize of $1,500 USD, which is a lot pricier than the cheapest Android watch that only costs $129 USD or the cheapest Apple watch at $349 USD. The luxury smartwatch Tag Heuer Connected will be sold starting on Monday, while sales in Japan will follow next. Other countries in Europe and Asia will see it in their techie markets by the end of November.
