The HTC One is making a bit of a round in the Web, and while the device is yet to make an official appearance in the U.S., there’s some more information to follow up on.
Per reports, a brand new American HTC One version has been spotted at the FCC, and the device, apparently, is seeking official approval.
HTC is already expected to hit various markets all around the world in the near future, with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile being among the confirmed mobile operators in the U.S. that will have the smartphone in stock later this year.
However, as of now, neither HTC nor its U.S.-based partners have mentioned any availability dates for the new flagship handset, but the new device’s apparent spotting at the FCC has brought the whole thing to a different level.
“The device is most likely Sprint’s HTC One, considering that it features Sprint LTE (band 25). Moreover, according to available documentation, the test unit is actually a production model, meaning that the device could be launched in the very near future,” Android Authority states.
Apart from Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile will are also set to retail the HTC One later this year, with Verizon waiting to be named among the HTC One carriers in the U.S. “That’s why we’re not surprised to also hear that two more HTC One versions have also been spotted at the FCC, one sporting quad-band LTE (2, 4, 5 and 17) and the other one dual-band LTE (4, 17).”
The HTC One handset has distinguished the phone from rival Android devices by using brand new software called BlinkFeed feature. The feature is said to replace icons on the home screen with a personalized stream of news articles, social networking updates, photos and video.
The BlinkFeed interface also consists of large tiles that update automatically with information and photos from news sites and social networks.
The device also features the HTC UltraPixel Camera which is a new imaging technology. The new UltraPixel sensor is developed with larger pixels, and is said to enable each pixel to capture more than 300 per cent more light as compared to most leading 13 megapixel cameras in the market.
