Sony has posted a new promotional video for the Xperia Z. The video highlights Sony's attention to detail in their latest smartphone offering. If you never considered a Sony smartphone before, the Xperia Z might change your mind after you see the ad.
It appears that Sony wants to send the message that it has paid attention to design and details on this smartphone and it feels like it finally has a device which can give the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 a run for their money.
The Xperia Z has some very impressive specs. It features a 5-inch Full HD 1920-1080 Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology. It has a fast 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor and Adreno 320 GPU. Sony has included 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, and a microSD slot for support for up to 32GB microSD cards. It also has a 13-megapixel autofocus, LED Flash camera, and a 4G LTE radio. Xperia Z is also the first smartphone that can shoot HDR video in real-time. The smartphone is also PlayStation certified, meaning it can play exclusive PlayStation games.
It's nice to see Sony going back to its roots. There was a time when Sony was what Apple is now. It was innovative, had a sense of design, always felt like a quality build on almost all things Sony. Those days have been missing for a while. The Xperia Z seems to be Sony's first step in re-establishing itself as a company that offers quality products.
