'GTA 5 Online' No New DLC; Valentines Day Event Brings New Maps & Discounts, Double Cash Couple Modes & More
Keisuke Akio"GTA 5 Online" Valentine's Day Event kicked off on February 14. The latest event rakes in special bonuses, discounts and new maps.
Rockstar Games this year is not feeling the love on Valentine's Day. Instead of a full DLC update, "GTA 5 Online" players this time can enjoy the content from last year. Rockstar added two new maps for the Valentine's Day-themed deathmatch mode, Till Death Do Us Part.
To entice players, the studio hurled a handful of discounts into the mix. It also offered a number of double RP and cash promotions to make the day feel special for those who spend it playing "GTA 5 Online."
The Couple that Kills Together, Stays Together
Till Death Do Us Part was a new multiplayer 'GTA 5 Online" game mode added for the previous year's Be My Valentine promotion. In this mode, up to four teams of two players face off in a deathmatch battle. Once one of the two partners dies, the other partner dies, as well. If the two players stick close together, however, they will experience increased health regeneration rates.
This year, the Valentine's Day celebration in "GTA 5 Online" features two new maps specifically for the Till Death Do Us Part mode. GTA$ and Rank Points rewards are doubled for Till Death Do Us Part mode, including three other modes. This will last until the Valentine's Day event ends on Monday, February 27, according to MIC.
Discounts on Rides and Others
The Ocelot Penetrator, that sweet ride "GTA 5 Online" players have grown to love, is on discount during this particular Valentine's Day event. You can save 25 percent when you add this supercar to your collection of high-end vehicles.
In addition, Be My Valentine clothing selections are discounted at 25 percent. Moreover, the Albany Roosevelt line of cars and the Tommy gun-like Gusenberg Sweeper, which you can pick up at Ammu-Nation are given 25 percent discount, as well.
