‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Sees More Returning Characters; Team Sanvers Gets Highlights Too; See Details Inside
Keisha Wallace"Supergirl" Season 2 is welcoming 2017 with a bang as its first episode for the year will see the comeback of the villainous casino owner, Roulette. In addition, more enemies are set to reappear on Season 2 of "Supergirl," including Livewire and Metallo. Here's what's waiting for fans when the hit superhero TV show returns this month.
In the teaser promo released for episode 9, Kara Danvers was seen under a Red Sun that seemingly negates her powers. It still remains to be seen whether Roulette is involved in Kara's new problem but she is definitely back to stir up some troubles in National City. For the uninitiated, Roulette once hosted an alien fight club where she forced them to fight to the death, proving how evil she can get.
Apart from Roulette, TV Line revealed that the supervillain with electrokinetic powers, Livewire, will be back in the next half of "Supergirl" Season 2. It can be recalled that Livewire's alter ego, Leslie Willis, only aims to seek revenge against Cat Grant. Will Livewire's appearance be related to Cat's return?
There are no new reports about Cat's comeback so fans are advised to stay calm and wait until The CW confirms her reappearance on "Supergirl" Season 2. But what's confirmed for this year is the return of another big bad named Metallo, a cyborg created by Project Cadmus. Metallo proved to be a difficult enemy to Kara and her cousin Superman this season so what's waiting for National City this time would not come easy.
Meanwhile, Kara's sister, Alex, will be seen in sweet loving moments this year as Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said that her bond with Maggie Sawyers will continue to grow. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, EP Kreisberg teased that Team Sanvers will see challenges but the relationship gets deeper and stronger. He added that there may be ups and down but the team behind the show is committed to the Alex and Maggie's relationship.
"Supergirl" Season 2 episode 9 air date is set on Jan. 23. It is titled "Supergirl Lives" and was directed by Kevin Smith. Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts about the upcoming episode.
