As you recently witnessed the dislike of Apple for wires, alongside with the specification upgrades of the company's product line, for getting rid of the headphone jack from the flagship smartphone and also the ports from the Macbooks, for any external devices to survive in the current trend of the tech world, products should be wireless, where the Beat solo 3 belongs, priced at $299.95.
The new product from Beats is a combination of the old Solo 2 and Apple's W1 wireless chip, also on the Airpods, with extended battery life and quick charging. Although the product has yet to prove their tagline "wireless remastered" to the audio community.
Priced like a premium product, without that feeling from just handling it. A shiny plastic from the band to enclose the ear cups, available in colors, but none of the selection will give a very high-end build. Almost hollow in its construction implies a bit if it will endure great applied force.
The pads are not replaceable, also not made from lambskin compared to another product at almost the same price. Although, it provides great comfort, ideal clamping power for security, and warms the ears because of the synthetic leather.
The company keeps things simple, unlike others. Easy navigational control and its simple power button that also indicates battery charge. The ideal pairing of the headphone would be an iPhone, the simplicity and speed of the Bluetooth connection seem effortless. Also, the power of the device can be visible from the mobile device.
Branded as "Fast Fuel", the fast-charging features promises three hours of music from a five-minute charge. A 40-hour battery life as mentioned by the maker, in an ideal setting. If the user is tech savvy, several products from Apple requires a lightning connector and MicroUSB for charging and connectivity.
The product displays an above standard wireless performance, even if paired with non-apple devices. As the company claims that they are raising the standards for Bluetooth delivery seems justified.
The signature sound of beats that thrills and excites the user is evident in the Solo 3. The bass is subtly emphasized, giving it a mature taste, but is not going away from being in the high-fidelity area. The product lines very well with the modern genres of music. It's ideal for people who enjoy music as part of their daily commute without being very critical with the minute details.
