Google Pixel vs Sony Xperia XZ vs LG V20 Review: Premium Smartphone Faceoff
Anish AsokanThe Google Pixel, the Sony Xperia XZ, and the LG V20 are premium smartphones launched in 2016. All the three handsets come with decent specifications, making selecting the best one a bit of a challenge. To help you out, here is a quick comparison of their specs and features.
When it comes to physical design, the LG V20 is the tallest, slimmest and widest, followed by the Sony Xperia XZ and then by the Google Pixel smartphone. The LG V20 model is denser than the Xperia model followed by Google's own smartphone as per NDTV Gadgets.
The LG V20 model has the largest screen among the three with Sony's smartphone occupying the second place. Both the Google Pixel and Xperia XZ smartphones have similar screen resolutions but lesser than what we have on the LG smartphone.
From a processor perspective, the Xperia XZ makes use of Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 whereas the LG V20 is powered by 1.6 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and the Google Pixel is powered by 1.6 GHz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 . Google Pixel with the latest processor holds the edge here with faster CPU speed followed by the V20 smartphone.
The LG smartphone has higher battery capacity among the three smartphones. The second position goes to Sony Xperia XZ. Among the three smartphones, the LG V20 has the removable battery option.
The RAM capacity of LG and Google's own smartphone is higher than that of the Sony Xperia model as per Phone Arena. However, Sony Xperia XZ has twice the internal storage as both the V20 and the Pixel smartphones. When it comes to expandable storage option, higher capacity is possible with the LG V20 compared to Sony Xperia smartphone. The Google Pixel does not support expandable storage option.
Sony models are well known for their great cameras and the dominance continues for Xperia XZ model. With an incredible 23MP rear camera with flash and a 13 MP front camera, it comfortably beats the LG V20 which comes with 16 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera and the Google Pixel which comes with 12.3 MP rear camera and 8 MP front camera . The LG V20 occupies the second position in the charts when it comes to camera specs.
Among the three models, Sony Xperia XZ is the only model which supports FM Radio and dual-SIM.
So is the winner here? Well, it is up to the users to decide that. For shutterbugs and FM Radio lovers, the Sony Xperia XZ seems to be a perfect choice. Google Pixel with new features also seems favorite among many Android lovers. Users who love strong specs, a sleek design or are concerned with more battery life has a better choice going with the LG V20 model.
