"Vikings" Season 5 spoilers note on the possibility that Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) may be the next character to die. In a recent interview with Alex Høgh Andersen, the actor teased that his character, Ivar, will be determined to get revenge on Lagertha over the death of his mother.

"She's the one woman who ever loved him," he told ET. "So he will never, ever be able to settle down with Lagertha alive."

This led to speculations that Lagertha may end up dead in the hands of Ivar in "Vikings" Season 5. As seen in the Season 4 finale, several characters died, including Ragnar (Travis Fimmel), King Ecbert (Linus Roache) and Sigurd (David Lindström).

Andersen further teased a possible romance for Ivar in "Vikings" Season 5, as he described his character as "determined, still angry, violent, but also in love." Meanwhile, series creator Michael Hirst spoke with Variety and explained that Ivar's actions in the season finale will have serious consequences.

Ivar was the one who killed his brother, Sigurd, and while he said he did not mean to do that, Hirst explained that this will split the brothers into different teams in "Vikings" Season 5. It looks like Ragnar's sons will also have to face some issues about their lands, as Ecbert was not the King of Wessex when he signed the deed.

Hirst also discussed the show's possible endgame. While the History Channel series has undoubtedly received good ratings and reviews from viewers and critics, Hirst said that they can go for two more seasons of "Vikings" and fans should look forward to mind-blowing scenes in Season 5.
