"Vikings" Season 4 has managed to satisfy the fans and viewers of the show in terms of content and drama. Even though there was some good break between the finale of the midseason and the midseason premiere, there has been no negative effect of the same. This is the 16th episode of Season 4. Here is a quick reminder of all that transpired in Episode 15 titled "All His Angels": Ragnar and Ivar plotted ceremoniously against the Saxons. They were able to reach a new kind of understanding. This episode aired on December 28, 2016. The Season 4 "Vikings" trailer was quite an action packed in itself. It focused on Ragnar's important position among his people, further accentuated by Rollo's absence.

Ragnar was able to derive a welcome victory in Paris during the end of season 3. However, the future was not definite and sure for Ragnar in the context of his long illness. The show captures intense aspects of political manipulation, emotions and realistic action. The last few episodes captured Ragnar's eloquent saga as a legendary Viking. Spoiler alert for viewers of the show who have not caught up with the latest episodes yet:

Ragnar was able to bond with his crippled son, Ivar the Boneless right before his final death in episode 15. Before his demise, Ragnar was trying to goad Ivar to acknowledge his own potential to achieve greatness. He also revealed the importance of Ivar for the future of their people. In the upcoming episode, a charged Ivar will be challenging the new queen of Kattegat, Lagertha who killed his mother, Aslaug. "Bjorn will return. All the sons will be part of what was called the Great Heathen Army," said Michael Hirst, hinting about the infamous army and its formation in the coming episodes of "Vikings".
