Villains cast for movies and TV shows have a major role in their success. Without a good casting, fans can lose the interest in such entertaining shows. "Sherlock" Season 4 is a promising new season in the series based on the famous British detective. And, with Toby Jones playing the villainous character in the upcoming episode "The Lying Detective," it sure feels comfortable that the portrayal is going to be awesome. Toby Jones will play the role of Dr Culverton Smith as the antagonist making his debut in "Sherlock" Season 4.

The upcoming episode is called as "The Lying Detective" and it will continue from the premiere where Sherlock will try whatever it takes to get back into John's life. And, Culverton Smith is likely to play a part in mending the Holmes-Watson relationship crisis. Co-creators, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss say that Smith is a very cruel and dangerous villain who will show off his motive in the upcoming episode. The teaser trailer does not let us know much about what will happen in the episode. But, it does show Toby Jones laughing in an evil way.

The episode will feature some of the story elements from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work as well. Just like in the previous episode, "The Six Thatchers," "The Lying Detective" show us a slightly changed title that is based on the short stories written by the famous writer. The original title being called as "The Adventures of the Dying Detective." And, Dr Culverton Smith will play an important role just like it did in the short stories back then.

We must say that Toby Jones is more than perfect for this villainous role casting in the "Sherlock" Season 4. The actor has been famous for his roles in big Hollywood movies such as the likes of Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and the first two Captain America movies. Jones will also be seen in the next instalment in the Jurassic Park series.
