"Coco" is the newest offering from Disney and Pixar. The said feature is the first ever joint musical offering of the two companies. "Coco" s a story of a young boy who breaks the rules for his dreams. The said musical feature has a family-friendly nature veering away from the usual young audience.

Director Lee Unkrich, who also directed Disney and Pixar's "Toy Story 3" said that the film is a refreshing take of a "break-out," which was translated into a musical. He stressed that the story centers on the character still, but is set against the background of a musical feature. He then proceeded to explain the story in detail, its background, culture and sets it apart from other films which center on just one family.

Ulkich said: "When John Lasseter finally gave this move a thumbs up - that very day, I suddenly felt a heavy load - some sort of pressure on my shoulders. I need to deliver because this is something original, very different from others we have already seen in the past or have ever made in the studio. For the very first time, I felt this enormous responsibility to make things right and make sure that this film will not just be another movie, not a passe' or the typical one."

In 2013, it can be remembered that Disney attempted to trademark the holiday name for "Coco," however, this created a conflict. Ulkich said: "What happened just pushed us more to make sure that we contact all the experts and available resources as much as we can and involve more people to tell this story more accurately. This story is something that we passionately want the world to see so it is also essential for us that when Latinos see this movie, they feel the passion and hard thinking we put in to do what is needed."

Aside from "Coco" other characters to watch out for in the film is Miguel, played by Anthony Gonzalez. He dreams of becoming a top performer. He idolizes Ernesto dela Cruz, played by Benjamin Bratt. Miguel goes against his family after generations-long hatred for music. Eager to prove that he has what it takes to make it, he found himself in the Land of the Dead as a mysterious series of events ensues.

Throughout his journey, he met Hector, played by Gael Garcia Bernal, who is a charming trickster. Hector and Miguel started their journey to find out the real story about Miguel's family. Additionally, Abuelita, played by Renee Victor, joins the cast as Miguel's granny.

Set to be seen in theaters this coming November 22, 2017, "Coco" is described to be "a love letter to Mexico." Directed by Lee Ulkich and written by Adrian Molina, the all-Latino vocal ensemble will be seen in theaters all over the country. For now, here is a sneak peek of the said feature:
