The latest reports on Michael Schumacher's medical condition suggested that his health is showing encouraging signs of progress. To add on to the positive news, reports hinted that the ex-Formula One champion's son Mick Schumacher will soon step into his father's shoes to continue his legacy.
Daily Star reported that Schumacher's son will soon join the Mercedes junior program and is expected to soon make his entry into the world of F1 with the youth wing of the Mercedes world championship winning team Merc. It is stated that the German automobile company is currently looking out for talented racers after the shocking retirement of their champion Nico Rosberg.
Reports touted that the younger Schumacher had to struggle a lot before reaching to the current place of his karting career. Mick is stated to have finished the 2015-16 MRF Challenge Formula 2000 season in the tenth position.
However, in 2016, the Schumacher junior ended up in the second position in both ADAC Formula 4 and Italian Formula 4 championship with the Prema Power team despite his father's medical condition. The Prema Power team's founder Angelo Rosin said that Michael Schumacher's son is at the moment showing constant progress in the racing field. As per the reports, Schumacher junior is expected to be seen in the 2017's European F3 series.
Few reports suggested that Mercedes are not the only team eyeing Mick as Ferrari is also touted to try and lure him to join the sport. Even though, it is not clear which team Schumacher's son will join, it is stated that his entry into the Formula 1 seems to be assured.
On the other hand, Schumacher's family along with his PR team recently has set up a Facebook page in order to share the champion's career memories and also wish for his speedy recovery. Reports have hinted that the world champion's health condition is improving day by day, but no official information is available on the same.
