"Hwarang: The Beginning", which is probably the most awaited KBS television series this year, has finally released its first official trailer. The teaser featured the cast consisting talented actors and a vivid and colorful representation of the old Kingdom of Silla.

The production for the said KBS series has been teasing fans for a long time now since it announced its plans in the early months of 2016. It was eventually confirmed as it released its cast. After regularly releasing footages of behind the making the series and countless photos from the set, the initial trailer has been finally revealed.

On Tuesday, producers of the upcoming drama "Hwarang: The Beginning" also released its first ever poster, teasing fans with six good looking Hwarangs, also known as "flowering knights" in Korean. In the said photo, the knights donned traditional clothing as they walk in the woods, smiling with one another. Despite their sweet, innocent looks, some of them are holding weapons like swords and bows.

The main cast of "Hwarang: The Beginning" consists of Park Seo Joon, Go Ara, Park Hyung Sik, SHINee's Choi Minho, and BTS's Kim Taehyung. Member of BTS, Kim Taehyung, otherwise called V, will be making his debut as an actor in this series. The plot has not yet been revealed but the story centers on a group of young people who grew up and trained to become elite knights during the era of Silla.

In a recent interview, BTS' V shared how he prepared for his debut in "Hwarang: The Beginning." He revealed that acting is something that he really enjoys doing. However, given that he is a first timer, he had a hard time at first while filming. His co-stars including Park Seo Joon and Park Hyung Sik helped him along the way.

"I liked to act as a hobby before and I like to watch dramas and movies but it was really hard at the beginning as I had to be professional," V revealed. "But it's not so difficult these days because (Park) Hyung Sik hyung, (Park) Seo Joon hyung and other hyungs called me many times to guide and said 'Let's meet up and try reading the script together' because I'm the youngest and they understand that I'm acting for the first time," he continued.

The first episode of "Hwarang: The Beginning" is airing on KBS this December 19.
