"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is going to say goodbye soon, but fans can't just get enough of Nina Dobrev as they have been continuously clamoring for the actress to comeback before the series ends.

Previously, executive producer, Julie Plec has hinted that Dobrev's return as Katherine Pierce in the season finale might be possible.

"I will confirm nothing, but the visual similarities are not accidental," Plec told Entertainment Weekly referring to the incident in the fourth episode entitled "An Eternity of Misery" where in Georgie's soul gets sucked into shadows similar to Katherine who was also sucked by the same evil force in the previous seasons."Can you earn your way back out of a one-way ticket to Hell," she teased further.

Latest speculation suggests that Dobrev will be seen on screen when Episode 12 airs on CW. Though there has no further information about it, rumors are rife that the actress will be back as soon as Stefan will make his decision to stop Sybil.

Meanwhile, the show is said to return on December 2 with Episode 6 entitled "Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path To Hell" which is reported to also focus on Caroline and Stefan's relationship.

Moreover, the showrunner teased that Caroline and Stefan would have happy days despite all the misfortunes in life.

"They've been growing as a team, they've had their ups and their downs, they've had a lot of hurdles preventing them from being able to be happy and we knew we did need some happiness in this otherwise bleak scenario," she told EW.

"It was important for us to be able to celebrate a relationship. We can't celebrate Damon and Elena right now; Elena's in a coffin. And we're celebrating Bonnie and Enzo all the time but they're new so they have so many more roads to travel before they get to that conversation, so it was fun to be able to give Stefan and Caroline a sense of a happy ending to come, even if it doesn't get that far. It's going to be a fun road to travel."

With this statement of the series creator many believed that Nina Dobrev will have a comeback on the season finale of the "The Vampire Diaries".

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has 16 episodes and will air its finale on March 10, 2017.
