Ever since the Google Pixel was launched, many are pondering whether many flagships phones could now be challenged. Here is a nuts and bolts comparison of the latest Google phone and the Samsung Galaxy S7.
When it comes to overall physical design, the Pixel smartphone is taller. However, according to NDTV Gadgets, the Galaxy S7 is wider, denser, and has a slightly sleeker design compared to the Pixel.
From the display perspective, the Pixel sports a 5-inch AMOLED screen, whereas the Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch AMOLED version. The screen resolution, as well as the pixel per inch, is higher for the Samsung model.
Looking under the hood, the Google Pixel is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, whereas the Galaxy S7 is has a 1.6 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, as reported by Android Headlines. It seems that with the latest processor, the Pixel has a slight edge with a faster CPU speed.
Camera combo is topped again by the Google phone whose front and rear camera are 12.3 MP and 8 MP, which are slightly better than what we see in Samsung smartphone, which comes with a 12 MP rear and 5 MP front camera.
Although Google's smartphone packs a decent battery capacity, it is slightly lower than that of the Samsung Galaxy. Unlike the Pixel, the Samsung mobile has the option of expandable storage up to 200 GB. Between the two smartphones, the Galaxy S7 is the only one that supports Dual-SIM.
Both the Google Pixel and the Samsung Galaxy S7 are one of the best smartphones released in 2016. It looks like both phones have strong features highlighting one over the other. It would be more of a personal preference to decide which is the winner.
