Both the Huawei P9 and the LG V20 are 2016 launches. Coming from big names in the smartphone industry, we thought of doing a comparison between the two premium flagships.
When it comes to overall physical design, the LG V20 is taller, wider, and denser than the Huawei P9 model.
From the display perspective, the Huawei P9 sports a 5.2-inch screen, whereas LG V20 sports a 5.7-inch screen. The screen resolution, as well as the pixel per inch, is higher for the LG V20 compared to the Huawei P9 model.
Looking under the hoods, the Huawei P9 is powered by 1.8 GHz Octa core HiSilicon Kirin 955 whereas the LG V20 is powered by 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 coprocessor according to NDTV Gadgets. It seems the LG V20 has the advantage here as Qualcomm Snapdragon has better speed than Huawei's own HiSilicon Kirin 955.
The Huawei P9 comes with an 12 MP rear and a 8 MP front camera. The LG V20 comes with 16 MP rear and a 5 MP front camera, according to Phone Arena. The LG V20 seems to be a better choice for the shutterbugs.
Although the Huawei P9 smartphone packs a decent battery capacity, it is less than that of the LG V20. However, the LG V20 unlike the Huawei P9 model, has a removable battery. This comes handy in many situations.
When it comes to RAM capacity, the LG V20 has a better capacity than the Huawei P9. Among the two smartphones, the LG V20 is the only smartphone to support Infrared feature.
It seems that the LG V20 wins in almost all the areas. Still, compared to other devices, the Huawei P9 still packs a punch.
