Ever since the Google Pixel has been launched, many are wondering whether many flagships phones could now be challenged. We thought of doing a nuts and bolts comparison of both the Apple iPhone 7 and the Google Pixel.

When it comes to overall physical design, the Google Pixel is taller and denser than the iPhone 7.

From the display perspective, Google Pixel sports a 5-inch AMOLED screen, whereas iPhone 7 sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD LED backlit screen. The screen resolution, as well as the pixel per inch, is higher for Google Pixel.

Looking under the hood, the Google Pixel is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 whereas iPhone7 is powered by A10 fusion with 64-bit architecture, M10 motion coprocessor according to Digital Trends. The iPhone 7 seems to have faster CPU speed.

The Google Pixel comes with latest Android operating system, Android Nougat. The iPhone 7 uses iOS 10 as its OS. The Pixel tops when it comes to RAM capacity which is twice as much as the Apple model.

Camera combo is topped again by Google Pixel whose front and rear camera are slightly better than what we see in iPhone 7 model. However, iPhone 7 beats Google Pixel when it comes to the camera aperture. The Apple iPhone 7 is the only smartphone among two to have optical image stabilization as per New Atlas. Overall, the iPhone 7 has a slight edge over the Google Pixel when it comes to features of the camera.

Google Pixel packs a decent battery capacity, slightly higher than that of iPhone 7 model. The 3.5 mm headphone jack is present in the Google Pixel model but has been abandoned in iPhone 7 model.

The iPhone 7 provides an extra 256 storage option compared to the Google Pixel models. The iPhone 7 model has more color offerings than the Google Pixel. Fast charging is only possible for Google Pixel phones.

It looks like both the iPhone 7 and the Pixel have strong features. It would be more of a personal preference for particular feature/features to decide which is the the winner.
