The Samsung Galaxy J7 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 were launched in 2015. With Xiaomi competing with the Korean giant for market supremacy, we thought of comparing these smartphones.

The Galaxy J7 Prime is taller, wider, and denser than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. It also has a sleek design, which increases its appeal.

When it comes to screen resolution, Xiaomi scores well over with 1080 x 1920 resolution compared to the 720 x 1280 pixels of the Samsung Galaxy J7, so a sharper and crisper screen is available for Xiaomi users.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has more battery capacity than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. The Samsung model comes with a removable battery unlike the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

Looking for the hardware, the Galaxy J7 Prime is powered by Exynos 7870 chipset with an octa-core processor working at 1.6 GHz supported by Mali-t830MP2. In the case of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 model, the Snapdragon 650 SoC which houses a hexacore processor working at 1.4 GHZ powers the device. The Xiaomi Redmi model is 20 percent faster than the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime as per Smartprix. So a smoother experience is possible with the Xiaomi model

The storage capacity of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is higher than the Samsung Galaxy J7 model. Moreover, the RAM is also higher for the Xiaomi model. The only point that Samsung Galaxy J7 has is the better expandable storage option.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has better camera resolution than the Samsung model. However, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime comes with a front flash making it ideal for the low-lit conditions.

The Xiaomi Note 3 model supports Infrared connectivity. It also supports features like compass, gyroscope, and ambient light sensor unlike the Samsung Galaxy J7 model according to NDTV Gadgets.

It seems that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has beaten the Samsung Galaxy Prime 7 in most categories. However, a sleek design and front flash could bring some appeal to Samsung Galaxy Prime 7.
