Hacking in gaming seems to be a burning problem at the moment, and it seems like the ‘Battlefield’ Battlelog is one of its most recent victims.

Per reports, the Battlelog for ‘Battlefied’ was hacked and gamers complained that they were unable to sign up for the service. It appears as if someone managed to hack the game’s Battlelog and at around 3:30 PM EST, players were unable to join games. Later, an odd poll in broken English went up at the bottom of Battlelog for a ‘Battlefield 4’ beta that would send voters to a fake site that would steal passwords.

Thankfully, EA and DICE took note of the issue in no time and sent out a word stating how the company is trying to get everything back in order, and as expected, everything seems to be running fine for both the companies and the gamers.

“The team at DICE is hard at work on the next entry in the Battlefield series. While there is no further Battlefield 4 news at this point – remember, if you don’t see it published here, it’s just rumor and speculation – we did want to take this opportunity to share a few thoughts on the state of the Battlefield franchise,” the official page states.

Battlelog developer, DarkLord7854, has also assured users that logins are safe and no data has been compromised by this attack. The developer wrote on Reddit that “logins are safe, there should be an announcement soon with more details. As a side note, it's never a bad idea to update/change passwords regularly, but as of right now there is no cause for alarm.”

“As ever, we are humbled by the community’s response to the game, and couldn’t be happier with the feedback we have received to Battlefield 3 Premium. With the Back to Karkand and Close Quarters expansion packs already out, Armored Kill around the corner, and End Game and Aftermath still on the horizon, we’re looking forward to many more hours of gameplay with you, and can’t wait to see the stories you will tell through Battlelog and player created videos,” the official page added.

As far as ‘Battlefield 4’ is concerned, the company states that it is not ready to talk about ‘Battlefield 4’ yet.
