This is big news! NVIDIA has announced the launch of its flagship graphics card, GTX 1080 Ti. Incidentally, this release has been announced only days after AMD announced its own flagship processors. The NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti offers 35 percent more performance than the original GTX 1080 card launched only last year!

The NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti also boasts of 3584 cores and a fascinating speed of 11 Gbps. It costs around $699 and is tagged to be the "Ultimate GeFrce". It packs 11GB of GDDR5X memory and goes live on sale on March 10. NVIDIA has claimed that GTX 1080 Ti graphics card is faster than Titan X (currently priced at $1,200) that was launched in the second half of 2016 for professionals.

It was also announced at the GDC 2017 event by Jen-Hsun Huang that the NVIDIA GTX 1080 of 2016 will now be available for only $500! The 11GB of VRAM in GTX 1080 Ti makes first use of the G5X memory and makes it perfect for any virtual reality usage or high-quality gaming one could think of. It is perfect for 4K or 4K HDR gaming and helps in not overheating the system.

The increased cooling capability comes from the new design of thermal vapor cooling system that increases the airflow. It is reportedly two times the airflow of the original NVIDIA GTX 1080. The GTX 1080 Ti has been called a worthy alternative as Nvidia Titan X is relatively difficult to buy. The pre-orders start today at 11 am! Several tweets made by NVIDIA GeForce team reiterate the claims of the speed of the recently launched graphics card.
