Unnamed BlackBerry Model BBC100-1 Live Images Leaked Online, Mid-range Devices Sports 5.5-inch Screen and SD 425 Chip
Charles LimBlackBerry has been getting quite a lot of attention just recently thanks to the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, the BlackBerry KEYone. The new flagship device was launched at the recently held 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona. Despite all the rave for the new BlackBerry device, the company has reportedly also ordered a new low-end device to be manufactured for the Indonesian market.
Several new live photos of the unnamed low to mid-end BlackBerry device have now surfaced online. A report from GSM Arena reveals that the lower end device has been ordered by BlackBerry from a company in Indonesia called PT BB Merah Putih. The company has apparently been given all the leeway to build and design new BlackBerry smartphones for their particular market.

A report from CrackBerry also reveals that the new low end BlackBerry smartphone, with the model number BBC100-1, had apparently already been certified in Indonesia and has been in development for quite a while now. There is still no indication yet if the alleged new device would be making its way abroad or if there will be an international version that would be released.
It could also be possible that the new BlackBerry device would just be the first of many low to mid-end BlackBerry smartphones that will be rolling out this year. However, it has to be noted that BlackBerry is already offering the TCL-built DTEK50 and DTEK60 smartphones to other markets, which might indicate that the BBC100-1 might be an Indonesia-only or an Asia-only device.
As for the BlackBerry BBC100-1's specs, the same report from CrackBerry reveals that the device will be sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset that is running at 1.4 GHz. It will be paired with a surprisingly large 4 GB of RAM.
The new BlackBerry will also be coming with a 5.5-inch 720p display and is offered with 32 GB of internal memory storage. Keeping the lights on will be an ample 3,000 mAh battery that should be more than sufficient given its low resolution display.
