'The Elder Scrolls 6' Will Have To Wait: Sources Close To Bethesda Confirms The Game Is Not A Priority
Staff ReporterBethesda has finally addressed rumors about the development of "The Elder Scrolls 6." Despite pressure from players and fans of the franchise, the company admits that it is still not their priority as of the moment.
According to Express, various people connected to Bethesda has confirmed the situation. The American based company also said that they are currently working on seven projects.
Earlier this week, Bethesda director Todd Howard confirmed the situation. He added that the company is currently focused on three of the seven-game project.
Howard explained that the company often "overlap the projects" to work on them at the same time. He added that the projects are bigger than anything Bethesda has ever done. But when asked about them, Howard refused to discuss the details of their upcoming games.
Bethesda has recently released a teaser for "Elder Scrolls Online Morrowind." Combined with the "Skyrim" port for the new Nintendo Switch, "The Elder Scrolls 6" might have to wait.
In a post by TechRadar, there are three possible locations for the next "Elder Scrolls." Elsweyr, the Black Marsh, and Valenwood are heavy favorites for the next RPG title.
Elsweyr is home to the Khajit and its vast dry plains and harsh badlands could very well translate to the game. the Black Marsh is home to the Argonian race. Its network of islands might bring a new element to open world exploration. Several online rumors have suggested that the area might be heavily favored.
There is, however, a new circulating online rumor that "The Elder Scrolls 6" could end up in Valenwood. The land is home to the Bosmer race. It's also interesting to take note that it's an area of Tamriel that Bethesda hasn't explored much in the franchise.
Most likely, players would have to wait until 2020 to play "Elder Scrolls 6." Until further announcements from Bethesda, gamers are fed with information based on speculations.
