'Battlefield 1' CTE Patch Revealed Anti-Air Nerfs; Explosive Gadgets & Grenade ReSupply Changes
Keisuke Akio"Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC is currently on CTE. Official patch notes revealed changes in explosive gadgets and grenades resupply and anti-air vehicles.
DICE released the weapon and core gameplay changes of the Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC, which is currently on CTE. According to DICE, they will continue to update the list as the patch inches closer to coming out with the rest of the changes.
Resupply Changes
As part of their continuing effort to address the unnecessary use of explosive gadgets and grenades in 'Battlefield 1," DICE is changing the way grenades resupply. The developer wants to reduce the number of grenades available while being constantly resupplied, as it is common in choke points. They will do this without making resupplies unnecessarily long in other gameplays.
Similar to some gadgets, all grenades will slowly resupply when out of ammo. This is greatly sped up when near an ammo crate. The latest resupply timers for "Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC include 36 seconds for Frag, Light AT, Impact and Incendiary.
For Gas, it will have 27 seconds resupply timer, while Mini will have 24 seconds and Smoke 18 seconds. In addition, resupplies are 3 times as fast near ammo crates. There are also other changes including reduced Smoke, Gas and Mini Grenade ammo from 2 to 1. Moreover, ammo pouches currently no longer resupply grenades.
Anti-Air Nerfs
PVP Live notes that DICE has already nerfed Anti-Air during the fall update. However, they are receiving quite a big nerf again in terms of their impact damage for the upcoming "Battlefield 1" They Shall Not Pass DLC.
The developers have removed blast and impact impulse on Anti-Air. Typically this would push and rotate planes and sometimes causes death. In addition, impact damage to planes have been reduced. Fighter planes and attack planes received 50 percent impact damage reduction, while Bombers' impact damage was reduced to 40 percent.
