‘Overwatch’ News & Update: Loot Box Drop Rates, Nendoroid Tracer & Battle.Net Account Policy Changes Explained
Ritwik RoyVice President of Blizzard Entertainment and game director for "Overwatch," Jeff Kaplan, has said on the official forums that because of the RNG system, many participants in special events may not get what they want from Loot Boxes. However, this does not mean that drop rates for the Loot Boxes have changed overtime. Kaplan explained that "drop rates for Summer Games, Halloween Terror, Winter Wonderland and Year of the Rooster remain the same." What do you think about the Loot Box drop rate for "Overwatch?"
According to Gaming Bolt, many "Overwatch" players have a thing for Loot Boxes as one of the biggest hooks in the game is collecting every single cosmetic and showing off new skins. Meanwhile, in other "Overwatch" news, it has been reported that the game is getting the cute Nendoroid treatment this summer. Forbes reports that Good Smile Company has snagged the game's license and is releasing the Nendoroid Tracer figure this summer. It's just first of the releases planned and more and more game characters will follow.
The "Overwatch" Nendoroid Tracer is priced at $49.99 and is available for pre-order at Good Smile Online Shop. The figure will be released in August. The company may also release a range of figma figures for "Overwatch" and a proper chogokin of Bastion in future. Recently it has been revealed that Blizzard is introducing a new policy from Feb. 17 that will be used in "Starcraft 2" and "Diablo 3." The developer is updating its Battle.net account policy in a bid to stop hackers from ruining the game. The policy will be first applied to "Overwatch."
"This approach will help us ensure we're providing the best possible game experience for our community, while at the same time allowing us to address any unintended side-effects that occurred from allowing non-Korean Battle.net accounts without game licenses to access Korean IGR services," said Blizzard in a Battle.net forum.
