"Jurassic World 2," the current working title for an unnamed sequel to the successful 2015 film, added another actor to its already star-studded roster. Daniella Pineda has been confirmed to be part of the cast.

According to Variety, "The Detour" actress Daniella Pineda is set to be part of the Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment film, with the role yet to be disclosed. The TBS comedy star has also not spoken on her character despite the confirmation. What is known, so far, is that she will be getting quite a vital part in it.

Her official profile shows her experience in the field of acting, with such credentials as "The Originals," "Jacked," "American Odyssey" and "The Vampire Diaries," in addition to "The Detour." More than Pineda, other confirmed cast members include Rafe Spall, Toby Jones and Justice Smith.

"Jurassic World 2" also confirmed the return of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, whose tandem began in the first film. Because of his big contribution to the previous film, B.D. Wong is rumored to reprise his role as Dr. Henry Wu, one of the people responsible for the creation of the monstrous reptiles.

No confirmed storyline has been given to the second movie just yet, but "A Monster Calls" director J.A. Bayona says that it will bring something different to the table while staying loyal to the original franchise. Bayona promised a darker, grittier take on the sequel, swerving away from the rather light-toned theme of the first "Jurassic World."

The park featured in the franchise is a follow-through from the storyline-wise unsuccessful attempt to make an entertainment venue full of dinosaurs, which backfired and turned for the worse. The sequel is expected to hit theaters in June 22, 2018.
