‘The Originals’ Season 4: The Mikaelsons Are Determined To Rebuild Their Reputation; Elijah To Rekindle Relationship With Hayley
Caitlin Moore"The Originals" Season 4 is expected to see the Mikaelsons determined to rebuild their reputation following their apparent defeat in the previous season. It can be recalled that the Mikaelson siblings are trapped in a coma-like sleep and they will remain in that state until Hayley finds a cure. Determined to figure out how to rescue the vampires, she will reportedly succeed and meet her lover Elijah again and the two might be given a chance to rekindle their relationship.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Showrunner Julie Plec teased that "The Originals" will come back with the Mikaelson who have more tasks at hand. One of which will be to build their dynasty in New Orleans again. Earlier reports already revealed that there will be a five-year time jump so obviously, the last five years that there were no Mikaelson siblings in the city would make a difference.
That said, it remains to be seen what awaits the Mikaelsons after being revived from the coma-like sleep. But it seems that Elijah and his siblings will be in the move to regain their status no matter what it takes. As per Plec, Elijah will wake up into "a crumbling Mikaelson dynasty in New Orleans that he feels very compelled to rebuild."
Additionally, "The Originals" showrunner also hinted that there might be a possibility for Elijah and Hayley to renew their love. Hayley did not stop at finding the cure to help the Mikaelsons and seeing Elijah again after five years is a very thrilling moment to watch especially for fans. However, Plec also warned that there will be some complications so fans need to see how it would affect Elijah and Hayley's relationship.
"The Originals" Season 4, however, is not yet renewed for a fifth season. But as per a report by Deadline, The CW boss Mark Pedowitz is hoping for a Season 5 renewal, which will depend on the performance of the series. The show's fate may be decided this coming Spring, reportedly.
